This may be irrelevant, but I wonder how and why datatype assignment by
itself is useful. What is the possible use case?


Instead, I rather prefer the "whole" type assignment, including types for
elements. This would make several useful applications possible; relaxer
is a good example.


Finally, I think you missed one condition.
