NEW ISSUE: Clarify @promote in the context of composite includes
TARGET: Assembly spec rev 2 [1]

DESCRIPTION:

The value of @promote on a composite reference is the string component_name/reference_name. Can the value of @promote point to a reference that is defined in an included composite? If so, what is the structure of the @promote value in this case?

PROPOSAL:

Yes, the value of @promote can point to a reference defined in an included composite.

The structure of the value does not change, i.e., component_name/reference_name is sufficient.

The spec needs to be clarified to indicate that the value comes from a post-include-processed composite file. Perhaps we can make this a general clarification, as this is the now the second place that such a clarification is useful and so there are probably more.
