[NEW ISSUE] Assemly Specification should not state what marks a Javainterface as Local
Raiser: Mike Edwards Target: SCA Assembly Specification - sca-assembly-1.1-spec-cd01-rev2.doc Description: In lines 2425-2426, the Assembly specification makes a statement about what marks out a Java interface as being Local: "In the case of Java a local service is defined by a Java interface definition without a @Remotable annotation." The Assembly specification has no business defining things that relate to an artifact that is normatively defined by another specification, namely the Java Common Annotations & APIs specification. This becomes a problem if and when the Java CAA specification changes the way in which a Java interface is marked as Local. Proposal: Remove the sentence relating to Java interfaces in Lines 2425 -2426. Yours, Mike. Strategist - Emerging Technologies, SCA & SDO. Co Chair OASIS SCA Assembly TC.
