Agenda:
Discuss extension proposal for carrying portlet markup in a getmarkupresponse that is intended for other locations in the consumers markup response. I.e. return markup for the Head section.
Minutes:
Nathan provided summary of existing BEA impl, original proposal, and latest proposal. Questions were raised concerning caching, specifically about the cache key the consumer manages these with. It was observed that behavior we want is akin to resource cacheability. Nathan suggested we consider treating these as resource requests not markup requests. Next steps are for him to think these things through and make a new proposal.
Short discussion whether we needed an accelerated set of interfaces concalls to complete this work so it can be ready in time for the spec. It was felt its both unlikely to mature quickly enough (we may need time to try it out) and that since we didn't have many on the call today it might be difficult to reach consensus quickly as we want all to have an opportunity to consider/comment. Decided to not add a new call -- rather if there is time during next Thursdays TC call we will spend some time on it.
