Work on the "specifications". Not standards. Be
very clear that until one *knows* what is best, standards
are the very worst thing to produce. Show me a set
of somewhat different implementations with a common
core, then talk standards, but not before.
And isn't that what the Pipeline specs are about?

This concept of a meta-tool, that combines all of the processors
with processing rules sounds very intriguing. Perhaps after the
core rules stabilize and become recommendations the W3C should
work on the standards to implement such a beast.
