WebDav is considered by some to be one of the most workable and working
approaches.  It seems to be considered by others as not fundamentally
RESTful.

So in effect, a working solution will be put aside in favor of a theoretical
solution.  The chances of that working are slim to none, so possibly this is
a good thread for WebDav users to ignore.

Would someone comment on why WEBDAV approaches are not being considered
